Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Electrician at Fuel Storage Solutions Limited. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components related to fuel storage tanks, pipework, pumps, controls, and associated infrastructure. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently in line with applicable regulations and company standards. The role also involves interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with engineering and field teams, documenting work performed, and supporting commissioning of new installations and innovative systems such as APIApipe™. The Electrician is expected to work independently in remote settings, follow health and safety procedures, and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, including safe installation, wiring, and testing of electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair for industrial and commercial electrical equipment, including scheduled servicing and corrective work.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions for complex electrical issues.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering principles relevant to power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Recognized electrical trade qualification or apprenticeship, and current industry certifications or licenses appropriate to electrical work.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices, particularly in fuel storage or industrial environments.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, manage workloads, and maintain accurate technical records and reports.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, a focus on safety and quality, and a willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
- Experience in fuel storage, industrial sites, or hazardous area equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.
