We are looking for an experienced DV cleared engineering manager to join our client in the defence arena. You will manage the engineering resources and process to deliver Run/Maintain and Change, reduce technical debt, integrate change from MVC pipeline and engineering coordination of find/fix/resolve for P1-P4 issues.
Manage the engineers conducting patching and updates to the solution, communicating potential impacts of any changes to the service delivery team and managing any potential disruption to service.
Coordinate with the Technical Authority to identify existing technical debt and plans for remediation, including identification of additional specialist resource requirements and work with the Product Owner to identify and size the work required to deploy changes from the MVC pipeline, including the development of the engineering plans required to prepare for and execute the changes.
Manage engineering response to P1-P4 issues ensuring that the most appropriate resource is tasked to minimise the impact of any incident on performance and adopt the role of Incident Manager for P1 and P2 incidents, initiate response processes and act as interface between the customer and the engineering teams. Ensure that all post-incidents actions are tracked and completed.
You will participate in the Change Approval Boards to represent the current status of the solution and the capacity for additional changes, providing an assessment of potential issues, mitigations and roll-back plans.
