Working Pattern: Full-time onsite (5 days per week)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support and maintain critical enterprise infrastructure within a fast-paced, highly available environment. This is a hands-on 3rd Line role responsible for the administration, optimisation and support of server, storage and virtualisation platforms, whilst acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise server, storage and virtualisation environments
- Administer Microsoft Hyper-V, failover clustering and high-availability solutions
- Manage backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes using Veeam
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and availability using SolarWinds
- Support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, patching and maintenance activities
- Participate in an on-call rota and out-of-hours maintenance activities
Essential Skills Experience
- Strong Microsoft Hyper-V administration and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Windows Failover Clustering and virtual networking
- HPE server and storage platform experience
