Business Analyst â EMIR â 8âmonth contract â ÂŁ700 per day (Inside IR35) â London (3 days per week on site)
Key Skills / Responsibilities
- Manage and drive a backlog of business and regulatory issues from identification through to resolution.
- Prioritise issues based on regulatory risk, operational impact, and delivery constraints.
- Produce clear business and functional requirements, including data and integration specifications.
- Work collaboratively with Operations and Technology teams to refine requirements and agree implementable solutions.
- Support solution design and ensure alignment with regulatory and operational needs.
- Validate system changes and fixes through test case review, UAT support, and outcome confirmation.
- Act as a central point of communication between Regulatory Reporting, Middle Office, Technology, and data teams.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, traceability, and governance throughout the issue lifecycle.
- Strong experience with financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., MAS, ASIC, EMIR, etc.).
- Ability to translate regulatory obligations into clear business, process, and data requirements.
- Proven Business Analysis background within asset management or investment banking.
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex business issues and supporting solution delivery.
- Handsâon experience with integration requirements and testing.
- Ability to work independently across a prioritised backlog in a deliveryâfocused environment.
- Strong understanding of Middle Office operations.
- Experience with platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin (preferred).
- Solid understanding of derivatives, multiâasset portfolios, and fund structures.
- Strong data analysis skills, with experience writing queries and articulating data logic.
- Ability to translate regulatory/business requirements into data mappings and controls.
- Experience supporting system migrations and/or integrations.
- Familiarity with investment and trading systems such as Aladdin, Charles River, Calypso, or similar.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with technical teams on design, build, and testing.
