Overview Fuel Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering organisation delivering a diverse range of projects across construction, renewable energy, and telecoms sectors. They are looking for a Junior / Graduate Structural Design Engineer with 1–2 years’ experience to join their growing team. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and analysis of structural elements across multiple sectors, including construction, telecoms, and renewable energy projects Produce calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation in line with relevant standards and codes Support senior engineers in project delivery, including site assessments and inspections where required Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client and regulatory requirements Review and interpret technical data, specifications, and reports Contribute to project planning, progress tracking, and technical problem-solving Key Skills / Experience Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related discipline) 1–2 years’ experience in a structural design role (placements or graduate roles considered) Understanding of structural design principles and relevant UK standards Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar (experience with analysis software advantageous) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Interest in working across construction, telecoms, and renewable energy projects Benefits Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Opportunity for professional development and chartership support Exposure to a wide range of projects and sectors Supportive and collaborative working environment Flexible / hybrid working options (where applicable)
