We're seeking a versatile Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience across modern platforms, virtualisation, cloud services, and secure environments. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working hands-on with a broad technology stack, this role offers the opportunity to make real impact in a high-assurance setting.

Strong background in:

  • Windows Server (2016+) administration
  • RedHat OpenShift
  • Linux distributions (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
  • End-user device provisioning and hardening (eg, Autopilot)
  • Single Sign-On concepts and operations
  • Working within protectively marked or secure environments
  • VMware technologies
  • Microsoft Azure
  • General networking fundamentals
  • Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Ansible)

Experience with any of the following is a major advantage:

  • Kubernetes administration (eg, VMware TKGI)
  • vSphere, vCenter, VCF
  • Azure or Microsoft 365 administration
  • DevSecOps tooling and pipelines
  • Elastic Stack
  • Nessus or similar security scanning tools
  • Application packaging
  • Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Vault)
  • Agile sprint-based environments

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, enhance, and secure multi-classification virtualised environments
  • Support the development and adoption of Secure-by-Design infrastructure approaches
  • Assist in the delivery and support of cloud SaaS platforms and project-specific cloud systems
  • Execute infrastructure maintenance through change control processes
  • Monitor and manage alerting, ticketing, and incident response workflows
  • Identify, diagnose, and act on system alerts and performance issues
  • Keep monitoring systems aligned with evolving infrastructure
  • Ensure all systems remain patched and compliant with security policy
  • Assess incidents quickly, drive service restoration, and track follow-up actions
  • Analyse trends to improve system reliability and performance
  • Stay current with emerging cloud, virtualisation, and security technologies
  • Work towards relevant professional certifications
  • Provide guidance and technical support to teams and stakeholders
  • Document processes, share knowledge, and support business growth activities
