A Business Analyst is required for an 8-month contract in London, offering £700 per day (Inside IR35). The role involves:

  • Managing and driving a backlog of business and regulatory issues from identification through to resolution.
  • Prioritising issues based on regulatory risk, operational impact, and delivery constraints.
  • Producing clear business and functional requirements, including data and integration specifications.
  • Working collaboratively with Operations and Technology teams to refine requirements and agree implementable solutions.
  • Supporting solution design and ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational needs.
  • Validating system changes and fixes through test case review, UAT support, and outcome confirmation.
  • Acting as a central point of communication between Regulatory Reporting, Middle Office, Technology, and data teams.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation, traceability, and governance throughout the issue lifecycle.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Strong experience with financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., MAS, ASIC, EMIR).
  • Ability to translate regulatory obligations into clear business, process, and data requirements.
  • Proven Business Analysis background within asset management or investment banking.
  • Demonstrable experience resolving complex business issues and supporting solution delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with integration requirements and testing.
  • Ability to work independently across a prioritised backlog in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of Middle Office operations.
  • Experience with platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of derivatives, multi-asset portfolios, and fund structures.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience writing queries and articulating data logic.
  • Ability to translate regulatory/business requirements into data mappings and controls.
  • Experience supporting system migrations and/or integrations.
  • Familiarity with investment and trading systems such as Aladdin, Charles River, Calypso, or similar.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with technical teams on design, build, and testing.

This role is focused on ensuring that identified issues are prioritised, analysed, resolved, and validated effectively across both Operations and Technology teams. You will work closely with Regulatory Reporting, Middle Office, Technology, and Testing teams to deliver robust fixes across processes, data, and systems, ensuring the organisation consistently meets its regulatory reporting obligations.
