Fuel Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector that is looking for a Level 3 Application Technical Support Engineer. You’ll be joining a fast‑moving environment, working closely with technical teams to provide high‑level support across a Microsoft‑centric application landscape. This role requires strong troubleshooting capability, deep platform knowledge, and the ability to work in a secure, high‑assurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 technical support across a range of Microsoft‑based applications and platforms.
  • Support and maintain SharePoint (PaaS and on‑prem) environments.
  • Troubleshoot and support a variety of web‑based applications.
  • Use PowerShell scripting to automate support, diagnostics, and maintenance activities.
  • Work within ITIL‑aligned processes including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Utilise Remedy and Jira as core service management tools.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and the Security Lead to ensure systems remain secure and stable.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Strong background in Microsoft technologies including - SharePoint (on‑prem and PaaS), Active Directory, and PowerShell.
  • Experience providing Level 3 application support.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining web applications.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Familiarity with Remedy and Jira service management platforms.
  • Sole UK national with 5 years of continuous UK residency (required for clearance).
  • Eligible for SC (Security Check) clearance.
