We are seeking a proactive SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams across multiple projects, helping to drive compliance, improve safety culture and deliver SHEQ excellence throughout the business. [SHEQ Job Description | Word]
The Role
Reporting to the SHEQ leadership team, you will work closely with project managers, site teams and senior stakeholders to provide practical SHEQ guidance, support compliance activities and promote continual improvement.
This role combines office-based and site-based responsibilities, with approximately 50% of your time spent visiting projects nationwide. [SHEQ Job Description | Word]
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site audits, inspections and compliance reviews across operational projects.
- Support project teams in managing health, safety, environmental and quality risks.
- Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions and workforce engagement initiatives.
- Assist with the preparation, review and auditing of project SHEQ documentation.
- Maintain SHEQ records, competency trackers and performance data.
- Support internal ISO auditing and management system compliance.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Promote positive SHEQ behaviours and company safety initiatives.
- Provide advice and guidance to operational teams and attend client meetings when required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have a solid foundation in Health & Safety management, excellent communication skills and the confidence to positively influence site teams and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- 2–3 years' experience in a Health & Safety or SHEQ position.
- Experience supporting SHEQ management systems within project environments.
- Tech IOSH or Grad IOSH membership, or working towards professional membership.
- Strong IT, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.

- IEMA qualification or environmental management experience.
- Internal Auditor or ISO-related qualification.
- Train the Trainer qualification.
- Ma Ps CSCS card.
