Our client in the Defence industry is looking for a Lead Security Architect who will carry out secure delivery of internal and MOD projects. This will require supporting technical teams in delivering Kubernetes environments. Your work will consist of risk management, ensuring the security architecture is proportionate to the GSC of the systems and delivered in conjunction with other IT Architects and SMEs.

You will be designing options and solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities, producing evidence to meet MOD solutions and working with teams across the business including: Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Cyber Security. You will need to identify, design and select appropriate security components to provide security enforcing functions for a variety of infrastructures, including cloud environments.

We are looking for someone who has experience:

  • Performing risk assessments using MOD methodologies (such as NIST 800-53)
  • Supporting development in a secure by design methodology
  • Working at a technical level with teams

You will need knowledge of JSP 604/453, Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD principles and their application in secure environments.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be sole British nationals, currently hold SC clearance and be willing to go through DV clearance.
