Fuel Recruitment is working with a growing, multi-entity organisation seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of its in-house accounting function. This role will play a key part in strengthening financial controls, modernising processes and supporting the group’s growth plans. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, oversee a small finance and admin team, and drive improvements across reporting, analysis and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full in-house accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including year-end accounts.
- Lead financial analysis across group entities, including team budget management and variance reporting.
- Support acquisition activity by assessing financial performance and contributing to due-diligence processes.
- Oversee and mentor 2–3 finance and administrative staff, promoting consistent and efficient practices.
- Modernise and improve financial processes, reporting tools and workflows across the group.
Key Skills / Experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide clear insights to leadership teams.
- Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions or multi-entity environments.
- Confident managing small teams and coordinating cross-department budgets.
- Comfortable reviewing and improving existing finance processes and systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern accounting software.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience preferred.
