About the Role

We’re passionate about ensuring every learner achieve success, from their very first conversation with us through to the moment they complete their programme.

To support this, we’re growing our team with a new role

Learner Success Specialist.

As a Learner Success Specialist, you’ll play a vital part in setting our learners up for success.

You’ll be the first person many learners and line managers meet at the start of their apprenticeship journey, helping them explore their goals, roles and experience to make sure the programme is the perfect fit.

You’ll carry out engaging initial discussions that combine Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) with eligibility checks and recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessments.

You’ll ensure that learners are placed on the right level of programme and that any existing skills or experience are recognised from day one, allowing us to tailor a challenging journey that is just right for them.

Beyond onboarding, you’ll continue to play a key part in keeping learners engaged.

You’ll hold supportive check-ins and progress reviews, particularly where a learner’s circumstances have changed or where additional motivation and clarity are needed.

You’ll also reach out to learners who are taking time out of learning, helping them reconnect and continue their journey when the time is right.

This role is ideal for someone who loves people, understands the apprenticeship journey, and wants to make a measurable difference to learner success, progression and completion rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) sessions with new learners and line managers.
  • Carry out skill scan discussions to understand each learner’s starting point and ensure programme eligibility.
  • Assess and record any Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) accurately and in line with compliance requirements.
  • Conduct supportive follow-up conversations with learners who have paused their learning, encouraging re‑engagement and progression.
  • Undertake a small number of progress reviews to support learner feedback and maintain connection through their programme.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the continuous improvement of the learner journey.
  • Work collaboratively with coaches and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover and consistent learner experience
  • Champion learner success by identifying barriers early and taking proactive steps to support retention and achievement.

About you

  • Passionate about learning and personal development, with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
  • Knowledge of Leadership and Management apprenticeships and IAG is vital.
  • Strong communication and questioning skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate learners.
  • Organised, detail-focused and confident using learner systems and digital tools.
  • Empathetic and challenging, with a supportive and professional approach.
