Purpose of role
Our client is looking for someone to manage the finance team and office, ensuring that financial results are reported in a timely and accurate manner, all financial controls are implemented/met, and that all payroll activities are undertaken in a timely, accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities/Activities
- Produce monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals, fixed assets, and external audits.
- Oversee financial controls, cash management, banking facilities, and budget performance.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger, cash books, and timely customer invoicing.
- Manage purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring supplier payments are made within agreed terms.
- Lead the payroll function, including reconciliations, pensions, P11Ds, and statutory compliance.
- Monitor financial KPIs and drive continuous process improvements.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance and support.
- Manage office operations, including IT, facilities, suppliers, and administrative support.
- Coordinate ad hoc travel arrangements and other business support activities.
