Class 1 LGV Driver (C+E) in London

Job Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 LGV Drivers for ongoing ad hoc work in Rugby, supporting a busy logistics and distribution operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for flexible work, with shifts available to suit your availability, including weekdays, weekends, mornings and afternoons/evenings.
Pay rates range from £21.00 to £26.75 per hour, depending on the assignment and shift.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class 1 LGV vehicle to transport goods and materials.
Complete deliveries and collections safely, professionally and on time.
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects correctly.
Comply with drivers' hours regulations and Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements.
Complete relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately.
Follow site-specific health and safety procedures.
Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers, colleagues and site staff.
Ensure all driving activities comply with road transport legislation and company procedures.
Requirements
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Minimum of 24 months' Class 1 driving experience.
Valid Driver CPC (DCPC) card.
Valid digital tachograph card.
No more than 6 penalty points.
No DD or DR driving convictions.
Good understanding of drivers' hours and WTD legislation.
Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
