We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to work on a cement contract based in Dagenham. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of packed cement products to customer sites across London and the South East. We are looking for professional drivers with previous experience in delivering packed cement or other similar construction materials, who can provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shifts
  • Regular start times and ongoing work available
  • No regular weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle delivering packed cement products.
  • Complete deliveries to builders' merchants, construction sites, distribution centres, and customer locations.
  • Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
  • Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
  • Adhere to driver hours, tachograph, and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
  • Represent GXO Logistics and Breedon Cement positively when interacting with customers.

Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Current Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience delivering packed cement, aggregates, building materials, or similar products.
  • Good understanding of safe loading and load security procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport regulations.
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious attitude.
