We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team.
How will you contribute?
- General administration duties in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures
- To work with, assist, and report to the Transport Management team
- Ensuring good standards of Health and Safety processes are followed by yourself and the team
- Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all collections are made on time in full and accurate completion of daily Transport paperwork
- Regular communication with the planning department of any delays / lateness / issues
- Primary point of contact for customer enquiries / changes to schedule, ensuring these are logged accurately
- Utilising the Transport Management System
- Managing drivers' hours, infringements and control of Tachographs
- Managing and controlling sub-contraction requirement.
- Assist with the management of vehicle defects through the VOR process
What will you bring?
- Good knowledge of driver's hours and WTD.
- To be able to effectively communicate with customer, suppliers and colleagues.
- Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional attitude.
- Must have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately.
- An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions.
- Good general PC skills.
- Working knowledge of Transport Management Systems would be advantageous although full training will be given
