We have an opportunity for a full-time Task Planning Manager based in Bulford, Wiltshire. The Company’s sole customer is the UK Ministry of Defence for the delivery of armoured vehicles in the UK using our fleet of 80 Heavy Equipment Transporters (HET). The Task Planning Manager is the focal point for liaison with the MOD to determine the schedule, allocate resources within drivers' hours regulations, plan administration for the moves and gain route clearance using the National Highways ESDAL system. Office-based, the Task Planning Manager divides their time between the Company Offices in Bulford and Army HQ in Andover.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that tasks are planned in accordance with Traffic Commissioner standards for loads, routes and drivers' hours.
Task Acceptance: Working with the Army customer to fulfil proposed tasks considering existing tasks, priorities and resource availability, including negotiation of adjustments to make best use of assets.
Accommodation Plotting: As Operators live all over the UK, develop accommodation plans to support the tasks.
In order to support the Operations Director in performance reporting, maintain task data including loads moved, loads rejected, loads cancelled and load timings. Represent the Company at HQ Army planning meetings.
Travel: There may be occasional needs to travel away from Bulford.

Requirements:
- Ability to handle competing constraints in task planning.
- Knowledge of Commercial Transport rules and Drivers' Hours Regulations.
- Hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Willing to travel and stay away from home.
- Ability to get security clearance to work on UK Military bases (facilitated by the Company).
- Hold a C+E licence; commercial driving experience.
