Hours of Work: Full‑time: 37.5 hours on shifts (some flexibility required)

An individual who has an eye for detail and takes pride in producing a quality product will fit this role perfectly. A competitive wage will be paid. To assist in the production of components to customer specifications, an individual will need to:

  • Load and unload pipes into machines.
  • Set up and operate pipe lathe and Horizontal Borer machines.
  • Machine bores and weld prep angles of pipe to drawing and/or specification.
  • Conduct dimensional verification on machine and machined surfaces.
  • De‑rag machined surfaces on machine.
  • Interpret work orders and drawings to determine production specification and information.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in operating manual lathes and Horizontal Borer, understanding machining principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining techniques.
  • Good process and product knowledge.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations which may require flexibility on working hours.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Well organised and able to manage time.
  • Ensuring best work practices are employed.
  • Ensuring that customer requirements are being achieved.
