Hours of Work: 37 hours Monday to Friday. Proclad Induction Bending is offering a market competitive salary depending on experience. Benefits of employment include 33 days holiday per year on a pro-rata basis (including public holidays), an employer pension contribution of 5% of salary and life assurance.
Outline of Role and Responsibilities
To be part of the sales team working to provide new and sustained sales growth to manage and develop sales. As part of the Sales department, the individual will receive any relevant training that may be required and assume the following duties. This role will be cross functional incorporating estimation of our Induction Bending (PIB) products which will support the group perspective and growth opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Dealing with customer and internal sales enquiries.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, gaining a clear understanding of their business needs up to and including account management.
- Building good customer relations and attending customer meetings where applicable.
- Create detailed proposal documents, submit to customers as part of a formal bidding process and follow up bid to point of closure.
- Negotiate on price, cost, delivery and specifications with buyers to achieve a sale.
- Sourcing of raw materials and services from suppliers to support client proposals.
- Gain a clear understanding of customers’ business requirements.
- Formulate accurate ITT packages, project bids and general quotations to customers’ enquiries, follow up on quotations and establish price, costs, and delivery with clients to achieve a sale.
- Maintenance of internal sales logs and documents to ensure accurate reporting data for the Estimation/Proposals Managers monthly reports.
- Attending Monthly Sales meetings to present the current enquiry activities, priorities, market intelligence and progress.
- Interpretation of Engineering Drawings and Material Take Offs.
- Commercial, Contractual and Technical Awareness.
- Visual Manufacturing System Training and awareness of how the system operates.
- Supporting Sales Manager with internal / external customer visits and company presentations where and if required.
- Conducting Contract Reviews and Coordination and communication between Sales and Project Teams.
- Working with the Sales Team to create and achieve sales targets through analysis of customers, seeking out new opportunities and leads.
- Liaise with other departments to provide customers with realistic delivery dates.
- Procurement of materials and services from suppliers to support client proposals.
- Support other members of the sales team, when necessary, to ensure efficiency during busy timeframes.
- Support ongoing projects in execution with Commercial/Variation work.
Flexibility
To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.
Desired Experience / Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing (Cladding, welding and machining) background preferred.
- Experience of an Account Management system is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships remotely over the phone and face to face.
- Ability to prioritise and organise a high-volume workload.
- Efficient in the use of all Microsoft packages.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing background would be an advantage.

- Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Self‑motivated.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to organise and prioritise tasks accordingly.
