FTV Proclad International Limited is a worldwide market and technological leader in the protective weld cladding of pipeline components. Due to current success in securing orders, we are recruiting an NDT Technician to join our team at our Glenrothes facility.

Responsibilities

• Undertake visual inspection.
• Conduct magnetic inspection.
• Perform liquid penetrant inspection.
• Carry out ultrasonic inspection.
• Measure thickness.
• Follow relevant procedures and specifications.
• Execute and record daily, weekly and monthly validation checks.
• Record, interpret, evaluate and report results, providing a verdict.
• Document discrepancies as required.
• Work under client observation and with client‑appointed inspection personnel.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and guidance to Level I personnel as required.
• Calibrate equipment.
• Occasionally participate in technical meetings with client representatives to discuss NDE requirements.
• Assume other ad‑hoc duties as required to assist with the general operation of the facility.
• Provide NDT services to other parts of the Proclad Group periodically.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of PCN Level II.
• Proficiency in Magnetic Particle testing (MT).
• Proficiency in Ultrasonic Testing: 3.1 & 3.2 Weldments.
• Proficiency in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Proficiency in Visual Inspection (VT).
• Competent in using a desktop computer and fluent in the Microsoft Office suite for recording, validation and issuing inspection documents.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently, using initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement and customer focus.
• Flexibility to meet company and customer requirements.
• Strong communication skills with customers, their representatives, external inspection authorities and all levels of the organisation.
