Fortrea's Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is seeking a flexible, phone‑based team member to support clinical trials by screening, enrolling, and scheduling study participants.

Position Details:

  • Bank (0‑hour) role offered based on clinic demand.
  • Work is based in the Drapers Yard Clinical Research Unit, located 7 minutes from the train station.
  • Typical shifts are Monday to Friday during office hours, with occasional late shifts (up to 8PM) and some Saturdays.
  • You may work up to 37 hours per week during busier periods; the number of hours can vary week to week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Fortrea’s Study Participant database of healthy volunteers and patients for clinical trials.
  • Conduct phone screening of potential participants, collecting demographic and medical history data.
  • Accurately enter participant information into the system.
  • Assess suitability of participants and match them to the appropriate clinical trial based on medical history and therapeutic indication.
  • Explain trial details to participants, ensuring they understand all necessary information before deciding to participate.
  • Schedule appointments for qualified participants and coordinate logistical arrangements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with an empathetic, professional manner.
  • Previous call centre or customer service experience preferred; experience in retail, technical support, help desk, or similar fields will also be considered.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Minimum GCSE‑level education.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience in clinical trials is a bonus but not required; full training will be provided.
