About The RoleThe Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world's most highly regarded communications consultancies. We offer a broad base of disciplines across a variety of specialist sectors including financial services, retail and consumer, digital, natural resources, energy, public affairs, real estate, professional services, people & change, technology media telecoms (TMT) and life sciences. The 50-strong Financial & Professional Services team builds and protects reputational value for the full spectrum of UK and international businesses, from banks and investment banks, to insurers, asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds and governments. You would be joining a fast-paced team which delivers both financial and corporate communications support and advice to its clients and values hard work, an entrepreneurial approach and the capacity to take on new ideas and develop knowledge. What You'll DoYou will play a fundamental role within the client account teams, delivering high-quality work to an array of financial services clients across our core established sectors including savings and investments, banking and insurance, among others. Deliver corporate communications programmes, helping to develop and maintain media relationships and managing news hook calendars Engage with media on a daily basis, keeping abreast of media moves and role/beat changes for journalistsEngaging on the topics shaping the sector, contributing to news monitoring and delivering news reports and analysis both internally and to external clientsAssist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering the client mandates, including draft press releases, draft media statements, media pitches and award entriesWork alongside colleagues to ensure timescales and quality assurance are adhered toCompile client activity reports, helping to keep account teams on track with deliverablesHow You'll GrowIn addition to day-to-day client responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the team and broader FTI Consulting through new business development including: Deliver research and contribute to new business pitch documents for the team as requestedProactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clientsParticipate in weekly team meetings by contributing ideas and client information with the teamShare knowledge, insights and experience with colleaguesDevelop relationships with other teams within FTI, including ESG, public affairs, digital and employee engagementWe are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities.
