The Tax Depreciation team is part of the EMEA tax team and includes experts with over 25 years of experience providing services to a wide range of clients, from FTSE‑listed household names and institutional investors to asset managers, private property companies, and family offices. The team is a market leader with a proven track record of delivering tangible savings and value for clients. We seek a Director (Manager equivalent) to support the team in providing capital allowances services to the tax client base, including broad support to capital allowances clients, the Real Estate and Infrastructure tax group, and clients of the wider tax group on tax compliance, advisory and transaction projects.
What You’ll Do
- Provide a high standard of tax depreciation technical and project management support
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
- Take ownership of and run Tax Depreciation engagements, including preparing capital allowances claims, providing tax compliance and advisory project support, and assisting on transactions
- Engage in business development activities, such as preparing proposals for prospective clients
- Assist in the evolution of best‑practice tools
- Delegate work and actively develop junior team members
- Keep up to date on technical matters and address detailed technical queries with robust, well‑supported advice
- Take ownership of projects related to managing risk, WIP and billing

What You Will Need To Succeed
- Extensive experience with capital allowances
- Strong technical and analytical ability
- Demonstrable skills in building and maintaining client relationships
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a straightforward way to tax and non‑tax specialists
- Outgoing, personable, and able to integrate with a team and engage colleagues of all grades
- Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload under pressure
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects and make independent decisions while being supported by senior team members
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
- Appetite for business development activities
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate ideally holds a chartered surveyor (RICS) or tax advisory qualification (CTA), or is an ATT qualified professional with exceptional experience, or equivalent
- Proven experience in capital allowances within a consulting setting
