About the Practice

The Strategic Communications segment designs, develops and executes communications strategies for clients managing financial, regulatory, and reputational challenges. We help businesses articulate their brand and messages across traditional and digital channels, engaging key stakeholders such as investors, policy makers, employees and customers.

With over 300 colleagues in London, we offer flexibility to work in sector teams or across pillars: corporate reputation, capital markets and public affairs. Our clients range from start-ups to FTSE 100 companies.

The Role

Our London-based graduate programme will rotate you through three Strategic Communications teams, spending three months in each, so you can learn from experts in their fields.

You will be immersed in a fast-paced learning environment, supported by a structured training programme and on-the-job experiences. Rotations will expose you to a diverse roster of clients, from start-ups to global corporations, and help you understand how to communicate clients\\\’ financial results, build corporate reputation, and design stakeholder engagement strategies.

You will also build relationships across levels within the business and explore various career paths within Strategic Communications.

What Youll Do

  • Support colleagues and engage with clients daily
  • Draft press releases and assist with communications content
  • Research and brainstorm to support strategies and planning
  • Pitch stories, gather feedback from journalists and analysts
  • Prepare clients for media engagements (briefing notes, etc.)
  • Compile coverage reports and conduct media/digital landscape analysis
  • Produce activity reports to evaluate impact of client communications
  • Assist with planning and execution of client events
  • Support colleagues on new business proposals
  • Participate in learning and development sessions

How Youll Grow

We invest in professional development with on‑the‑job learning, self-guided courses and certifications. You\\\’ll have a dedicated coach, regular coaching sessions, and a network across rotation teams and HR to support your growth. The programme includes formal training on writing, digital skills, media monitoring and client balance sheets, with senior colleagues and client exposure from day one. Near the end of your rotations, senior management will consider your preferred sector/specialism for a permanent role.

Required Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

  • A desire to work in communications and PR
  • A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from any university in any discipline
  • Graduating in 2026 or having graduated in 2025
  • A strong work ethic and can‑do attitude
  • Excellent writing, grammar and numeracy skills (testing as part of assessment)
  • Demonstrated interest in communications through relevant experience (e.g., university society, writing for a site or magazine, presenting, internships)
  • Outstanding communication skills in person, written and on the phone
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and self‑organisation
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinking and ability to think outside the box
  • Proactive with willingness to volunteer for tasks
  • Flexible approach to work, especially under pressure
  • Ability to understand and summarise complex issues
  • Ability to network and build contacts
