About The Platform

We are increasingly the preferred expert adviser to infrastructure investors across EMEA after a period of record organic growth in our integrated corporate affairs platform. As a global expert firm, we work with half of the 100 largest private equity sponsors and 8 out of the 10 largest asset owners globally by AuM. We partner with investors and asset owners of all types investing in UK and European infrastructure and real assets to help manage and mitigate risk throughout the deal, asset, portfolio, and fund lifecycle.

Our competitive edge is mobilising the firm’s technical sector expertise as part of a global management consultancy to partner with clients facing policy, regulatory, and public reputational challenges and opportunities – be it for a Board, shareholder, or a portfolio company management team. We have a developed range of deep sector experience advocating for clients investing in and operating regulated, social, transport, and digital infrastructure assets.

About The Role

We are looking for a senior corporate affairs professional to join our firm and take our advice and reach for infrastructure investors in EMEA to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity for you to deploy your full corporate affairs toolkit, including corporate and financial communications, public policy advocacy, corporate governance, and investor relations to help senior clients in high‑pressured situations use stakeholder engagement as a means to influence change.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Your Advice
  • Expert in at least two corporate affairs disciplines, with an established market reputation for expertise.
  • Proven experience advising financial institutions and/or the regulated industries through high‑change situations.
  • Deep infrastructure sector knowledge including the policy and regulatory changes impacting investor appetite and stakeholder sentiment.
  • Track and spot emerging market trends that could impact clients’ license to operate in the UK and across EMEA.
  • Create multichannel stakeholder influence and advocacy campaigns for clients in response to specific commercial challenges and opportunities and/or emerging market trends.
  • Oversee the development and drafting of key client materials by interdisciplinary teams, setting standards for analytical rigour including by using the firm’s AI tools.
  • Lead client counsel at the highest levels with authority and influence, delivering clear advice to senior decision‑makers with an expert grasp of technical subject matter.
  • Proactively manage and grow the strength of existing client relationships over time, cementing the firm’s network and connectivity with clients at all levels alongside colleagues.

Build the Business

  • Adopt a systematic approach to growing existing FTI client relationships by proving value‑add advice integrated with existing service lines and relationships.
  • Independently own a business development and service marketing plan which targets an emerging network of your own commercial relationships and expanding that network over time to include other buyers of FTI’s services within the infrastructure sector.
  • These relationships may include: c‑suite executives, operating partners, M&A teams, corporate affairs, and/or legal counsel.
  • Lead the drafting and development of commercial proposals for integrated advice showing pricing discipline in line with the firm’s commercial objectives.
  • As industry trends evolve, innovate the firm’s service offer within Strategic Communications to help maintain a market‑leading value proposition.

Grow the Team

  • Set the standard for commercial excellence by overseeing revenue growth and managing profitability measures for the firm.
  • Be an ambassador for the firm in industry circles, including with relevant financial and technical advisers and legal counsel by managing an active referral network.
  • Represent your part of the business with other parts of the firm, actively participating in firm‑wide commercial and talent development initiatives.

As you progress through your career at FTI Consulting, we offer tailored programs for critical professional milestones to ensure you are prepared and empowered to take on your next role.

What You Will Need to Succeed

In doing so effectively, you have an emerging commercial network where clients call you for your trusted counsel particularly in crisis moments and you want a larger, more integrated consulting platform from and with which to grow your business entrepreneurially. You are intellectually curious and comfortable operating at the deep end, switching contexts and thinking laterally as a genuine strategic problem solver. You are known for being a thoughtful operator and you thrive on making sense of ambiguity and bringing an interdisciplinary team together to make sense of a high‑change situation.

Basic Qualifications
