About The Role
An individual in this position will be responsible for facilitating strong corporate collections to the operations group, ensuring timely payments from a growing customer base and coordinating with the Forensic Litigation Consulting Project Assistant team.
What You’ll Do
- Review aged Accounts Receivable balances and contact clients, via phone and email, to facilitate payments.
- Establish methodological process for continuously canvassing all of Forensic & Litigation Consulting (FLC) as well as other FTI segments’ crossover aged AR and performing routine follow-ups and check-ins to ensure timely payments.
- Proactively establish contact points with clients’ Accounts Payable contact and preemptively ensure access to billing systems is in place prior to invoicing.
- Identify and resolve technical issues preventing client payments (access to eBilling sites, resolving rejection errors etc.).
- Collaborate with FLC relationship managers where appropriate to facilitate client payments.
- Enlist the efforts of senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with practitioners and client accounts payable contacts.
- Perform all above duties as an extension of FLC with appropriate respectful demeanor and consultative client service.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the FLC department's efforts to maintain timely cash collections.
- Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress, when needed.

- A few years experience in corporate, preferably in legal/law firm, collections.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
- Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role.
- Knowledge of various Collection best practices techniques.
- Knowledge of standard Billing procedures.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting.
