The Associate / Trainee Accountant - Corporate Finance & Restructuring will work closely with our experienced BVI and international teams to support the administration of formal cross-border insolvency appointments, restructuring engagements, board of director appointments, distressed asset sales, fraud and complex financial investigations, litigation support and other business advisory services. As part of a small and growing practice in the BVI, the successful candidate will gain significant hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to the delivery of engagements.
Job Requirements
- Excellent academic results, either studying towards or having already completed an Associates or Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
- Relevant work experience, preferably within the financial services sector or within an accounting or legal services firm, would be preferred.
- Effective communicator, with good listening skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Close attention to detail with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Motivated and ambitious, with the ability to take initiative and learn from previous experience.
- Interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA), with study support provided.
- Fully proficient using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Willing and able to work overtime at short notice, as required.
