The Construction, Projects and Assets team offers unparalleled expertise to help our clients resolve disputes, improve construction project delivery, and develop processes that ensure improved schedules and project financial performance. The role is predominantly to support the Glasgow office. However, there will also be opportunities to work on commissions throughout the UK and the wider EMEA region.
What you’ll do
- A Senior Consultant is responsible for investigation and analysis of issues related to disputes on large construction projects.
- Providing support to the Commission Lead or Expert Witness engaged in each matter.
- Interaction as required with lawyers, client personnel, other team members, and other professionals from other firms involved in the engagement.
- Organising information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
- Maintaining detailed working records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
- Working to deliver a quality product within established timeframes.
- Preparing draft written analyses and other reports in conjunction with the Commission Lead or Expert Witness.
What you will need to succeed
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification).
- Several years of experience in the construction industry.
- Sound understanding of construction cost management processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of quantum claims and/or preparation of expert reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other commonly used business software applications.
