The FTI EMEA Financial Services practice has seen significant growth, with a presence across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and globally. It is a key focus of our growth strategy, with ongoing investments. The practice delivers high-impact consulting projects for financial services clients, including banks, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, and fintech firms. The Balance Sheet, Portfolio, and Risk advisory team is central to this growth. The Director will lead client projects within this team, working in London, Paris, Zurich, or Frankfurt/Munich.
What You’ll Do
- You will support clients in crisis and transformation scenarios, focusing on:
- Balance sheet, capital, and liquidity management (e.g., Basel IV, liquidity portfolio optimization)
- Portfolio transactions, workouts, and wind-downs (e.g., loan sale, securities wind-down)
- Risk assessments and mitigation (credit, market, liquidity, climate risk, stress testing, data infrastructure)
- Regulatory remediation programs (e.g., supervisory inspections)
- Portfolio and investment strategies (e.g., sovereign funds, AI, climate investments, net-zero strategies)
Clients include banks, supervisors, sovereign funds, asset managers, private markets, and payments firms.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA
- Postgraduate experience at a major consulting firm serving financial clients
- Leadership experience managing consulting teams and client relationships
- Expertise in balance sheet management, portfolio strategy, financial risk, regulatory remediation, or related areas
- Willingness to travel internationally

- Experience at a financial institution
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
