As a result of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to add additional high calibre people to our growing business. As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Department and provision of management information. This role will suit someone who is studying an accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA), who has a keen attention to detail, is highly motivated and can work well under pressure. A sound knowledge of Excel is essential whilst experience with Syrinx and SAGE 200 is desirable. The role will include the following: Reconciliation of all bank/petty cash accounts Administering the HP process Updating of various management information schedules/assisting with provision of management information Checking and processing supplier overhead invoices and statements Assisting with checking and submitting VAT returns Checking trade counter daily banking Opening post and processing cheques Assisting with submission of aged debts under insurance Assisting with Credit control as necessary Assist with month end processes (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations) This role is office based Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
