FT Recruitment are hiring an FLT Counterbalance Driver and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Your mechanical aptitude and attention to detail will ensure smooth warehouse flow, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift with counterbalance capabilities to move materials across the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all goods
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying shipments against documentation
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and storage
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work areas
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks, specifically counterbalance models
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory tracking software
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting
- Previous warehouse experience preferred, including shipping & receiving tasks
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements
- Knowledge of safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse procedures
