FT Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager on behalf of one of our growing manufacturing clients based in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding business in a varied, hands-on role with real scope for development. The successful candidate will support sales and marketing activity across the business and deputise for the Sales & Marketing Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Commercial Support:
- Deputise for the Sales and Marketing Manager during periods of absence
- Process customer enquiries, quotations, and sales orders accurately and efficiently whilst liaising with a global network of customers, agents, and distributors
- Follow up on open sales leads and hold distributors accountable to sales targets
- Maintain and update the CRM system with customer and sales data
- Prepare and issue order acknowledgements, shipping documents, and invoices
- Generate regular sales, geographical intake, and service sales reports
- Handle incoming calls and emails professionally
- Provide temporary cover for key sales team members when required
- Assist with planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, events, and trade shows
- Manage website content and support e-commerce activity
- Maintain and update social media platforms
- Coordinate marketing materials such as brochures and newsletters
- Support SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising initiatives
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and industry trends
- Create dispatch paperwork including Bills of Lading, packing lists, invoices, CE certificates, and Chamber manuals
- Arrange dispatch via couriers such as DHL, TNT, FedEx, and Trax
- Process spares, warranty spares, service orders, and job packs
- Process telephone credit card payments and scan and upload documentation to internal systems
- Update chamber and service databases
- Provide purchasing administration support when required
- Assist with customer hospitality during on-site visits
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a sales administration or marketing support role in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM systems and digital marketing tools
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) and social media management
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
