Job Description
FT Recruitment has partnered with a forward-thinking and expanding accountancy firm as they look to make a key hire into their Technical Accounting team. This can be at either Manager or Senior Manager level and will report into the Head of Technical Accounting (remotely) and the managing partner for the Aberdeen office.
The focus of this role is to lead and deliver high-quality technical accounting services to their clients, including assistance on complex accounting issues (e.g., business combinations, group reporting, standard changes, IFRS/UK GAAP conversions). The successful candidate will act as a subject-matter expert for accounting standards, working with internal teams and clients to ensure accounting policy is appropriate and disclosures are compliant.
Candidates should hold a recognised accountancy qualification whilst having strong technical accounting experience. Proven experience in handling business combinations, group consolidations, IFRS/UK GAAP conversions and/or significant accounting standard implementations. This role would suit candidates who are either working in practice (audit or technical accounting) or those working in industry who are looking to return to a practice setting where they will be given a clear promotion path when certain KPIs are achieved.
