FT Recruitment is delighted to be working with a locally owned and progressive accountancy firm that is looking to hire a Tax Assistant for their busy tax department. This role is suited to someone who either has a grounding in Tax or someone potentially looking to transition into a specialised Tax role, where training and mentorship will be provided, along with the opportunity to undertake professional tax exams.
This role is working closely with the Tax Manager and will be responsible for Corporate Taxes. Duties include:
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
- Assist with tax planning and research by analysing tax implications of business transactions and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
- Maintain and reconcile tax records, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits, filings, and financial reporting.
- Support tax audits and inquiries by gathering information, preparing responses, and liaising with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assist in implementing updates to corporate tax processes, policies, and compliance procedures.
