FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for a Temporary Store Manager on an urgent assignment. Our client is looking for an immediate start and the role will be covering for up to 5 weeks.
Duties
- Capable in working within a key operational role within the business, where the successful candidate can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and inventory control.
- Maintain organized administrative records, including sales reports, staffing schedules, and inventory logs.
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers.
- Uphold company policies on phone etiquette, organizational standards, and safety procedures.
Experience required
Essential:
- Previous experience working within a stores or warehouse environment.
- Experience managing stock control and booking materials in and out using inventory management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate stock records and support day-to-day operational requirements.
- Supervising or team management experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Preferred:
- Background in steel/consumables supply, fabrication, welding, engineering or manufacturing.
- Understanding of steel sections, plate, consumables and general engineering materials, allowing the successful candidate to confidently identify and manage stock.
