FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join their dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all legal processes are handled efficiently and accurately. Your enthusiasm for property law, combined with excellent organisational skills, will help facilitate smooth conveyancing procedures for clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise within a growing business.

This is a full time (35 hours per week), office based position in Glasgow, offering great progression opportunities as the business grows.

  • Assist solicitors and conveyancers in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation.
  • Conduct property searches, including land registry and local authority searches, to gather essential information for transactions.
  • Coordinate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and document exchange.
  • Manage the progression of conveyancing files by monitoring deadlines, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and updating relevant parties regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transaction documentation and correspondence in accordance with firm policies.

2+ years experience as a Paralegal within Conveyancing or Property is essential for this role. A paralegal qualification is not essential for this role but is desirable. Strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes and relevant legal procedures. Proven experience in managing residential conveyancing transactions with end to end client support and handling your own case load being essential. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document preparation and data entry. Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Knowledge of land registry systems, local authority searches, and mortgage procedures is essential.
