Job Description

FT Recruitment are currently supporting our client to recruit for an experienced Expeditor to join their team in Bridge of Don. This is a full time, permanent role which is mainly officed based, offering 1 day working remotely per week. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven and ambitious individual to join an ever growing business and team in Aberdeen.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively monitoring and accelerating the delivery of materials and equipment
  • Managing the flow of materials between different parties and departments, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with suppliers, ensuring delivery schedules and quality standards are met
  • Maintaining and updating schedules for each ongoing project, ensuring that all deliveries and milestones are met on time.
  • Addressing issues that arise, such as vendor errors, budget limitations, or other problems that may impact the delivery process
  • Maintaining accurate records of all shipments, deliveries, and related documentation
  • Communicating with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the process

Experience & skills required:

  • Prior experience in am Expeditor or similar role is essential
  • Experience within the oil and gas or energy industry is desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and maintaining composure under pressure
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Candidates should be based locally to Aberdeen, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for this role.
