FT Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing, private equity backed business who are looking to take on their first Cyber Security professional into the role of Cyber Security Analyst. The position will report directly to the IT Manager. The successful candidate will be given autonomy to build the Cyber Security function within the IT team, they will have full responsibility for processes and documentation going forward. There is a clear career path for the successful candidate, and therefore this role would suit someone driven and looking to progress their career.

Key duties:

  • Proactively monitor and analyse security alerts from diverse sources, including SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents efficiently, managing containment, eradication, and recovery to minimise impact.
  • Continuously maintain, enhance, and optimise cybersecurity tools, systems, and processes for improved protection.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate effective remediation activities.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to promote and uphold security best practices across the organisation.
  • Create, update, and strengthen incident response plans to ensure swift and effective action during security events.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance organisational resilience.
  • Support compliance initiatives by aligning with data protection and cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
