An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to join a leading IT services organisation supporting a major global client. Based in Aberdeen, this role offers the chance to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, delivering network solutions across multiple international locations while gaining exposure to a diverse and evolving technology landscape.
This is a hands-on technical position that combines project delivery, network implementation, and high-level support responsibilities. Working within a collaborative project environment, you will play a key role in the deployment, refresh, and optimisation of network infrastructure across global operations.
Responsibilities:- Build, configure, and deploy network infrastructure in line with defined technical designs and project requirements.
- Support the delivery of network refresh and upgrade programmes across multiple global sites.
- Work with LAN, WAN, firewall, and wider network technologies, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity.
- Collaborate with project teams, architects, and technical specialists to deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new network technologies and standards.
- Perform testing and validation of hardware, network solutions, and infrastructure changes.
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation to support project and operational requirements.
- Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex network-related incidents and problem management activities.
- Support business-critical services and contribute to the ongoing improvement of network performance and reliability.
- Travel internationally as required to support project delivery and site implementations.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering and supporting enterprise network infrastructure within a project or operational environment. You will possess strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies, with exposure to platforms such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. You will be comfortable working across multiple priorities, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and delivering technical solutions within structured project environments.
