We are working with a well-established organisation in Aberdeen who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to take ownership of the HR function, support senior leadership and drive positive change across the organisation. The role will involve leading a small team, providing expert HR advice and helping to improve employee engagement, development and overall performance.
Our client offers hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the HR function and managing the HR Assistant.
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, including employee relations matters.
- Supporting recruitment, retention, performance management and succession planning.
- Developing and delivering learning and development plans.
- Leading change initiatives and supporting employee engagement.
- Ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with employment legislation.
- Overseeing the implementation and development of the HR system, including process improvements and automation.
- Managing relationships with trade unions and supporting health and safety initiatives.
- Using HR data and reporting to support decision-making and improve performance.
This role would suit a candidate who has proven HR experience, with previous management and team leadership responsibility. Experience of managing change and implementing HR systems would be beneficial but not essential. Candidates should have strong knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations whilst being an excellent communicator and have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
