Job Description
Environmental/Sustainability Advisor
The FT Construction Group have an exciting opportunity for a full time Environmental/Sustainability Advisor to join our HSEQ team at our head office in Northallerton. We are a highly respected and successful, family-owned, construction group operating throughout the UK.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the environment and ready to further develop their career in sustainability. If you’ve recently completed your IEMA qualification or equivalent qualification and are looking to further your career, we would love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Group HSEQ Director your duties would include:
- Environmental compliance: Support the HSEQ team by collecting, analysing and reporting on environmental data, helping to ensure that our projects meet all relevant environmental standards.
- Site inspections: Carry out regular site/office visits, identifying compliance issues, recommending improvements and identifying opportunities for sustainability gains.
- Environmental Assessments: Evaluating projects to determine the need for environmental surveys and regulatory consultations. Proposing mitigation strategies where required.
- Promote sustainability throughout the business: Work alongside our teams and clients to champion sustainability practices and identify opportunities for positive environmental impact.
- Deliver environmental training
