What You'll Be Doing
- Develop detailed knowledge of our product portfolio to confidently advise customers on the best solutions
- Process and pick orders accurately for customer collection and delivery
- Build excellent relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- Handle customer requests, orders, and complaints effectively
- Serve customers at the trade counter to company standards
- Raise competitive sales quotations and follow up to complete orders
- Source non-stocked items from other branches or via Purchasing
- Maintain stock levels and participate in stock take activities
- Handle returned products and warranty claims promptly
- Undertake delivery driving duties as required
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete vehicle checks
What You'll Need
- Good standard of education including maths and English
- Proven experience in a similar environment with excellent telephone manner and professional customer service approach
- Ability to confidently work in a team and on your own initiative
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- A full UK driving licence is a requirement of this role
- The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Company Out of Hours Standby Service on a rostered basis, which includes cover over Bank and Statutory Days Holiday
