Macrobert Arts Centre is recruiting for a dynamic Head of Participation to lead the Creative Activities department. The Company operates a full year-round programme of live theatre, film, visual arts and engagement programmes at the Centre and the Head of Participation assumes leadership level responsibility for core and freelance staff delivering a wide range of work both at Macrobert Arts Centre and in the community.

This is a new, senior role for Macrobert Arts Centre and it will blend the best of both the managerial and the practical, with Head of Participation assuming responsibility for leadership of the Creative Activities Department staff, its programme of work and future development as well as playing a practical creative role where most appropriate on those projects.

This role will collaborate closely with the Artistic Director/CEO in the effective forward planning of the future vision for creative participation and learning as well as working with colleagues on external funding applications as required.
