We are partnering with a prestigious Security client, the UK’s leading family-run security provider, to recruit a Technical Tutor at their Southwest London training academy. This is your chance to share your fire and security expertise, inspire apprentices, and shape the next generation of engineers.
Technical Tutor Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theory-based training in fire and security systems, aligned to the FESS Level 3 standard
- Develop engaging course materials, including classroom presentations and online modules
- Coach, mentor, and assess apprentices through practical workshops and written assignments
- Collaborate with the management team to meet academy development goals and quality standards
- Liaise with external clients, awarding bodies, and recruitment partners to maintain compliance and maximize learner success
- Provide career advice, support apprentice recruitment, and promote commercial training offerings
What We’re Looking For From the Technical Tutor
- Proven experience installing or servicing fire and security systems
- Strong technical background aligned to Fire & Security Standards (FESS)
- Excellent communicator comfortable presenting to groups and writing learner documentation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with virtual training platforms
- Highly organised, methodical, and able to balance competing deadlines
