About FL127
Flagship Labs 127 is an early-stage company in the Flagship Pioneering ecosystem, developing a first-in-category platform anchored in novel device technology that could change how human wellness is understood and managed. We're building the science through a rigorous, hypothesis-driven program, and testing the market with the same rigor by running live campaigns against pass/fail criteria we set in advance. The team is small and the product is headed into a brand-new market.
Welcome to Flagship Pioneering Co-Op Program for the cohort dreaming big and taking courageous leaps. You'll join fellow peers across our ecosystem of companies and learn firsthand how we build first-in-category companies. You'll have access to enrichment sessions, a dedicated professional development track, and a mentor that helps guide you toward your next step. By the end, you will carry on a meaningful project outcome, a genuine network, and a front-row view of how Flagship pioneers new ventures that change the world.
The Role
You'll make the ad creative, write the campaign copy, and read the performance data that tells us what's working. You'll work directly with the founding team, and you'll help run the campaign that tests whether the market wants this.
- Creative production: Make the ad creative yourself. Shoot photo and video, pull from stock libraries, cut variants for each persona, and keep track of the versions.
- Copywriting: Write and refine Meta ad copy (primary text, headlines, descriptions, CTAs) within our messaging guardrails.
- Campaign ops: Run day-to-day logistics in Meta Ads Manager: ad sets, spend against caps, campaign records.
- Creative iteration: See how each ad performs on quantitative metrics, then use that to decide what to make next.
- Personas & messaging: Sharpen the personas behind our creative, learning which messages land and which don't.
- Crowdfunding launch: Help build and run our Kickstarter, including page copy, creative assets, backer updates, and the paid campaigns driving traffic to it.
What We’re Looking For
Enrolled in Northeastern’s co-op program, any major, with an interest in social media marketing. A portfolio showing creatives and/or ad copy you made yourself. Class or personal projects count. Hands-on with design and video tools like Canva, Figma, or CapCut. Comfortable with ambiguity and ready to own your work without much direction. Our messaging, audiences, and product direction are all still being tested, so you'll change course on a week's notice and often decide what to make next yourself. Organized, must be able to track dozens of creative assets. Nice to have: Meta Ads Manager or comparable platforms, short-form video experience, consumer wellness/direct-to-consumer exposure.
What We Offer
Build alongside founders. You'll work inside the same hypothesis-driven process Flagship uses to conceive and launch first-in-category companies. This can be the start of a longer story. Strong co-ops are considered for future opportunities across Flagship and its portfolio companies, not just for this one role. Work alongside people who left the safe path. Your colleagues are scientists, engineers, and operators who chose to build something new rather than join something already established. Take on real ownership. You're contributing to ventures that are still being defined. Your work can shape real decisions, not just support them. Be paid like the contributor you are. Compensation reflects the real work you take on.
Flagship Pioneering is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. The pay range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour. This role is a short-term engagement that is not eligible for health and welfare benefits. Retirement benefits may be available after completing a set number of hours. Compensation and benefits information is based on FL127's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
