Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including full balance‑sheet reconciliations across all group companies and posting of nominal journals.
- Draft and post revenue recognition journals, and reconcile accrued and deferred revenue for trading entities.
- Monitor and report financial and non‑financial metrics to Senior Management and Board level.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate month‑end cut‑off, accrual identification and active credit control.
- Process inter‑company transactions, reconciling inter‑company interest and positions.
- Support payroll and staff expense processing in compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Investigate budget variances and communicate findings.
- Provide external audit support, preparing required information for auditors.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring correct coding, documentation and posting.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in cash‑flow monitoring.
- Handle day‑to‑day financial administration – invoicing, expenses, receipts, and routine transactions.
- Undertake ad‑hoc finance tasks and corporate services projects to broaden exposure.
Essential Criteria:
- Completion of a 2.1 or above finance or accounting degree by June 2026.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; accounting software experience desirable.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to work independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Professional and confidential handling of sensitive information.
- Ready to commence study for professional accountancy examinations.
Desirable Criteria:
- Interest in GRC or corporate finance.
- Experience within a professional services business.
