We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Events - Delivery & Systems to lead the successful delivery of FSBs events strategy. This is a key leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for our online events and webinars, while also overseeing support for local in‑person events through a dedicated team of Event Co‑coordinators. You will play a critical part in ensuring high‑quality event delivery, driving engagement, and maximising commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of FSBs events strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Manage and develop a team of Event Co‑coordinators to achieve objectives and KPIs
- Oversee all online events and webinar delivery, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Manage and optimise the events software platform, resolving issues and working with IT on developments
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including sponsors and partners
- Support the delivery of in‑person events alongside field teams
- Develop and maintain event policies, guidance, GDPR compliance and customer processes
- Maximise income generation, lead generation and member retention through events
- Handle event‑related enquiries and complaints with a focus on excellent customer service
- Monitor, analyse and report on event performance and KPIs
- Manage budgets in line with departmental requirements
About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong leadership capability and a passion for delivering high‑quality events and customer experiences.
Essential experience and skills
- Proven experience delivering an events strategy at a strategic level, including KPI management
- Experience managing remote teams effectively
- Strong background in online events platforms and systems management
- Experience supporting and delivering in‑person events
- Competence in management information systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints
- Ability to create engaging event marketing content for digital and local channels
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Event management or CMI qualification/training
- Experience working in a remote or home‑based environment
- Understanding of the challenges and needs of small businesses
