This is a key leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for our online events and webinars, while also overseeing support for local in-person events through a dedicated team of Event Co-ordinators supporting online and local in-person delivery.
Hours: Full time
Salary: £51,545 plus competitive benefits
Location: Blackpool Head Office or primarily home-based, with occasional travel to the Blackpool office as and when required

You will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality event delivery, driving engagement, and maximising commercial opportunities.
Key responsibilities- Lead the delivery of FSB’s events strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Manage and develop a team of Event Co-ordinators to deliver against KPIs and performance targets
- Oversee all online events and webinar delivery, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience from start to finish
- Manage and optimise the events software platform, working closely with IT to continuously improve performance and functionality.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, sponsors and external partners to maximise delivery and impact.
- Support the high-quality delivery of in-person events alongside field teams
- Develop and maintain event policies, guidance, GDPR compliance and customer processes
- Drive income generation, lead generation and member retention through the events programme.
- Handle event-related enquiries and complaints with a focus on excellent customer service
- Monitor performance, analyse insights and use data to continuously improve outcomes
- Manage budgets in line with departmental requirements
You combine strategic thinking with strong operational leadership and have a passion for delivering high-quality events and exceptional customer experiences.
Essential Experience And Skills- Proven experience leading and delivering an events strategy at a strategic level, including KPI management
- Experience managing and motivating remote teams effectively
- Strong background in digital events platforms and systems management
- Experience delivering or supporting both online and in-person events
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints
- Ability to create engaging event marketing content for digital and local channels
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Competence in management information systems and Microsoft Office
- Event management or leadership qualification
- Experience working in a remote or home-based environment
- Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by small businesses
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across teams
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach
- High standards and a passion for delivering excellence
- Flexible and adaptable mindset
- Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for business use
