Qualification:
Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning required; Chartered status not essential
About the Business
Our client is a fast-growing, well-backed UK wealth management business with approximately Β£3bn AUM, with ambitious plans to grow towards Β£10bn over the coming years through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
The business has invested heavily in senior hires across M&A, Marketing, Technology, Compliance and Training & Competence, all designed to help advisers build stronger, larger client books and develop long-term careers within the firm.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join the St Albans team on a permanent, employed basis.
This role is suited to someone who is confident building and developing a new book of clients, rather than simply inheriting and servicing an existing portfolio.
You will benefit from a strong platform around you, including marketing activity, acquisition-led client opportunities, internal referrals, dedicated paraplanning and administration support, and continued investment in technology and adviser development.
There is no requirement to bring a transferable client bank, but the successful individual will need to be commercially minded, proactive and comfortable developing new client relationships over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop a portfolio of private clients.
- Provide holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, tax and protection.
- Develop new client relationships through referrals, internal opportunities, marketing activity and professional networks.
- Manage ongoing client relationships and identify further planning opportunities.
- Work closely with paraplanning, administration and compliance teams.
- Contribute to the wider growth of the St Albans office and business.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
- Experience as a Financial Planner, Financial Adviser or Wealth Adviser.
- A strong track record of developing client relationships.
- The confidence and commercial ability to build a new book over time.
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and retirement planning.
- A client-focused and relationship-led approach.
Chartered status would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a business with significant growth plans and the infrastructure in place to support ambitious advisers.
You will benefit from:
- The opportunity to build a substantial client book.
- No requirement to bring an existing book with you.
- Leads and opportunities generated through acquisitions, marketing and internal referrals.
- Dedicated paraplanning and administrative support.
- Continued investment in technology, compliance and adviser development.
- Clear scope for career progression as the business grows.
