The Head of Onboarding owns end-to-end corporate client onboarding and KYB across the business. You will lead a small specialist team, act as the senior escalation point for complex and high-risk cases, and work closely with the MLRO, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product to support growth within the firm’s risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of onboarding specialists
  • Own the corporate onboarding and KYB framework, including regulated firms and higher-risk sectors
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex, high-risk, and sensitive onboarding cases
  • Ensure onboarding decisions align with AML policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite
  • Oversee complex KYB reviews involving cross-border and multi-layered ownership structures
  • Drive continuous improvement, scalability, and automation of onboarding processes
  • Provide clear guidance and reporting to senior management and key stakeholders

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience leading or owning corporate onboarding / KYB within fintech, payments, FX, or financial services
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of onboarding regulated businesses and high-risk sectors
  • Deep understanding of AML regulations and risk-based onboarding
  • Experience acting as an escalation point and making defensible onboarding decisions
  • Proven people management experience
